Miami Spice Extends Through October 31 at Select Restaurants

Miami Spice is getting an October extension. The Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau announced September 14 that select participating restaurants will continue their special menus through October 31, 2026. The extra month gives diners more time to use the program, but it does not mean every restaurant from the summer lineup is automatically staying aboard. GMCVB announcement

The published price structure is $40 for brunch or lunch and $50 or $65 for dinner. Miami Spice Reserve experiences start at $95. The standard offer centers on three-course menus, while individual listings explain the restaurant, service and experience being sold. Official directory

The organizer describes this as the program’s 25th year and says the August–September edition included more than 400 restaurants. That larger number should not be reused as the count for the October extension. The operative word for the additional month is “select.”

For a diner, the extension changes the planning window more than the basic decision. Start with the restaurant’s actual October listing, then look at the menu and eligible service. A lunch offer does not establish that the same price is available at dinner, and a restaurant’s general participation does not guarantee every day or seating is included.

Our take: the most useful way to approach a prix-fixe program is to choose the food before celebrating the discount. If the offered courses are what you genuinely want to eat, the set price can make planning simpler. If you are likely to replace several courses or add multiple extras, the headline number may be a poor guide to your final bill.

For two people, the listed menu prices alone would total $80 for the $40 option, $100 for a $50 dinner or $130 for a $65 dinner. Those are simple menu-price calculations, not all-inclusive bills. Check drinks, supplements, taxes and gratuity separately with the restaurant.

This also helps a group agree on expectations before arriving. Decide whether everyone is choosing the special menu, whether anyone needs a dietary accommodation and how additional orders will be handled. A clear menu can prevent an awkward conversation when the check lands.

World Red Eye’s September 15 coverage brings the extension into this week’s local dining conversation. The underlying announcement came a day earlier; this is not a new restaurant opening or a promise of immediate table availability. Local coverage

The practical headline is a longer opportunity, with the same need to read the details. October 31 is the program’s extended endpoint at participating locations. Your chosen restaurant’s listing should determine the date, service and price you actually book.
