Gibson Garage Miami Opens in Wynwood With More Than 500 Instruments

Wynwood has a new stop for people who would rather pick up an instrument than simply take a photo beside one.

Gibson Garage Miami opened to the public at 11 a.m. on September 10, 2026, according to Gibson’s opening-week report. The address is 2660 NW 3rd Avenue, Miami, in the Wynwood Art District. This is a confirmed public opening—not a proposal, construction update or invitation-only preview. Gibson opening report Location

The distinction is especially useful because the opening program included earlier events. Public access began September 10; photographs from the preceding celebration should not be used to move that date backward.

Gibson says the space spans more than 8,000 square feet and includes over 500 instruments. It is the third Gibson Garage worldwide, following Nashville and London, and includes the first U.S. Gibson Gallery installation.

The company’s concept combines retail with opportunities to explore instruments, customization and music culture. A guitar can be both a product on a wall and a tool someone wants to understand in their hands. That is the attraction’s practical appeal, not a promise that every visitor will leave with a purchase.

A September 10 Gibson TV announcement introduces a tour hosted by Mark Agnesi with singer-songwriter and guitarist Fonseca. The company describes custom guitar builds and interactive experiences, and explicitly says the Miami destination is open to beginners and music fans as well as established players. The Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau also lists the attraction at the Wynwood address, giving visitors a second local reference for planning. Miami and Beaches

Our local-culture read is that the most interesting part of an experience-led store is what it lets people do. Looking, asking questions and comparing an instrument’s feel are different activities from watching a launch video.

For a first visit, check current opening hours and the specific event calendar. An opening-week performance does not establish a permanent nightly concert schedule. Likewise, a customization area does not mean every special order is immediately available or included in admission.

This report is not an endorsement of a particular guitar or financing offer. Buyers should ask about price, warranty, returns and any custom-order terms before committing.

The news is simple enough to act on: Gibson Garage Miami is open. Its longer-term place in the neighborhood will be shaped by the experiences, programming and everyday visits that follow the opening celebration.
